Children trafficked and left alone in Wales

The children, most of whom cannot speak English, have made terrifying journeys to escape danger in their home countries and look for a better life in South Wales.

Reports from Wales say up to 48 unaccompanied children have been smuggled or trafficked into Cardiff in search of asylum. The Wales Strategic Migration Partnership reports that up to 97 unaccompanied children are currently being cared for by local authorities across the region. Read more.
